Cloth Diapering 101
Here is this week's CBS News Eye on Parenting segment with an update to my 30-day cloth diapering challenge. My producers were not all that keen on doing an update to the first diapering segment we shot a month ago but after a month of cloth diapering, I had to insist because there is so much to show! I am really proud of this piece. I think it is a great run-down of the modern cloth diapering options. I'm so grateful to all of you in the CD community who helped me learn the ropes!
I plan to post a review of the various types of diapers I have used soon so stay tuned!

My question is though... how is hubby doing with it? Is he sold yet?
I am sad that you didn't talk about the best option which is fitteds with a natural cover! They are the most breathable and will cause the least rashes... which is something people associate with cloth diapers! But you can't fit it all in! LOL!

I wish this segment was available when I was pregnant and trying to decide on cloth diapers. As you said, it is very overwhelming and your segment put great information in the hands of confused mommies and daddies! I'm glad you are a cloth diaper convert and are helping others learn more about CDing, too. I, on the other hand, am now a Mommy Betta convert. I find your articles and reviews very refreshing and helpful :)

We will certainly be talking this up - The Media industry needs more people like you that believe in something and push it through - thank you so much for having me on the show - I love being a spokesperson for MODERN cloth diapering and I am so glad we could make this all happen. Yeah I am so glad to have a convert... I really hope that Cloth diapering starts to get a bit more press... I really think if people realized that it's not as hard as it looks, more people would be apt to give it a try. I recognize there is more work involved, with the washing and stuffing and what not, but I do think that the moms that cloth diaper are willing to do the little extra it takes in order to reap the many benefits !

Natali!!! So proud of you! I don't know if you truly know how much of a difference that segment will make on disposable users/new moms/old moms, etc. I am so glad that you took the time to try them, and now you're a part of the CD "cult"... let us know when you start using family cloth ;) Jk, but I've learned that one step in the green direction leads to many more. Let us know what you think about your cloth wipes, too, if you've tried them! If all moms understood that the little amount of extra time you put into CDing really reaps amazing benefits, EVERYBODY would convert!

I've been a silent bystander during this from the start but had to finally post on this video. WOW WOW WOW you did an amazing job! You should be so proud, this segment is fantastic and long awaited. Thank you for shining light on a modern cloth diapers and being an advocate for making our babies healthier, their environment cleaner and their parents more financially sound. Yay! So happy to see cloth shown in it's best light! I tried them with my third baby after thinking there had to be a better way and have fallen head over heels in love with cloth options. I haven't tried Fuzzibunz but I think I will have to now. I'm so in love with my Bumgenius organic elementals that I don't try some of the other options. So glad you had a good experience!
This was an amazing segment and very informative. I love it and I think you represented the cloth diapering community amazingly. I'm glad you converted and I'm glad you love them and have such a positive attitude about them.
Thanks for trying them out and presenting your results! I was just like you before my son, overwhelmed at all of it and put off trying anything until I met other moms who could guide me. This segment would have been very encouraging back then!

I recently saw your first segment and I thought it was fine. I must say I was totally horrified by the comments posted after. I cloth diaper and I am not a member of a brigade, thank goodness!
