“Thank you” to my Baby’s Daddy

Sometimes I forget to acknowledge my husband for being an amazing father. Instead I find myself focusing on how early he leaves the house for work (usually out of the house by 6:30am before Reese wakes) and on how “late” he gets home, even though it’s always in time to give Reese a bath and put her to bed. He makes a huge effort to be home in time to do this so that he can spend a little time with her.

As soon as he walks in the door after a long day of being in an office he is on “Daddy Duty.” Reese runs up to him and gives him a big hug and kiss and then he plays with her for the short time before bed/bath.

Tonight my heart melted a thousand times as I watched Josh brush Reese’s hair in the family room while she watched a cartoon. He was so gentle and patient brushing her long tangled hair.

It’s so easy to take for granted these things that are actually really important and make my life easier. I don’t ever want to take for granted Josh and his amazing efforts as a great husband and father.

I guess I wanted to share this as a reminder to appreciate all the efforts your partner makes vs. the things that may annoy you at times.
