I am very excited to announce one of my new freelance projects will be writing about technology and apps for children for Consumer Reports. This was announced on Friday and my first app review will run on Tuesday.
While there are plenty of mommy blogs and sites that discuss apps, I haven't seen many devoted to finding and reviewing apps geared towards children and parents. Until now! I will be posting a weekly review of a children-related app for PC, iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, and Android devices. I will be sure to link to my full reviews here on MommyBeta, as well as discuss them on our weekly podcast.
The apps I am looking for must be children and parent-related, not necessarily baby-related. They can be recreational or educational, free or paid.
I will be soliciting submissions from press representatives over FlackList, where I like to keep track of my press contacts. If you don't represent a company but just want to share your favorites, please ring in here on MommyBeta or over Twitter is fine too. I welcome your suggestions!
